MicroPeels in Camp Hill, PA
Services
The peel resurfaces the outer layers of your skin while the microneedling works MicroPeel at Restorativ Health & Beauty combines two of our most effective treatments into a single session, pairing a medical-grade chemical peel with microneeper, stimulating collagen and elastin production. Together they address concerns that neither treatment reaches quite as well on its own.
It is one of the more efficient treatments on our menu. Rather than booking two separate appointments weeks apart, you get both mechanisms working at once, in a treatment customized to your skin.
Two Treatments Working Together
Skin concerns rarely sit at a single depth. Pigmentation and dullness are largely surface issues, while scarring, laxity, and deeper lines involve the structure underneath. Treating one layer alone means only partly addressing the problem.
The chemical peel component handles the surface. A solution is applied to exfoliate the outer layers, accelerating cell turnover to reveal smoother, more evenly toned skin. It is effective for pigmentation, dullness, congestion, and fine lines.
The microneedling component works below that. Very fine sterile needles create controlled micro-channels, and your body responds as it would to any minor injury, by producing collagen and elastin. Those proteins are responsible for firmness and elasticity, which is why microneedling is so effective for the appearance of scarring and texture.
Used in the same session, the two also enhance each other. The exfoliation clears the surface so the microneedling works on properly prepared skin, and the combined effect is deeper exfoliation and more substantial renewal than either produces alone.
What MicroPeels Can Address
This treatment is commonly chosen for:
• The appearance of acne scarring and post-breakout marks
• Uneven skin tone and pigmentation
• Rough or uneven texture
• Fine lines and wrinkles
• The look of enlarged pores
• Loss of firmness and elasticity
• Dullness that has not responded to gentler treatment
• Congestion and breakout-prone skin
Because both components are adjustable, the treatment can be weighted toward whichever concern matters most. Someone focused on pigmentation gets a different balance from someone focused on scarring.

Recovery
Because you are having two treatments in one session, expect a little more than you would from a facial. Immediately afterward your skin will look flushed, similar to moderate sunburn, and may feel warm and tight. That redness typically settles substantially within twenty-four to forty-eight hours.
Over the following days you may notice mild flaking or peeling as the surface renews, along with some sensitivity. Most people find they are presentable within two to three days, though this varies with the strength used.
Aftercare genuinely affects your result. Keep your skin well moisturized, avoid picking at any flaking, stay out of the sun, and skip strong actives such as retinoids and acid exfoliants until we say it is safe. Daily broad-spectrum SPF is essential once your skin has settled, since freshly renewed skin is more vulnerable to pigmentation from UV exposure.
MicroPeel or a Single Treatment?
Not everyone needs the combination, and we will tell you if you do not. If your primary concern is pigmentation, tone, or surface texture, a chemical peel alone may achieve what you want with less downtime. If your concern is mainly scarring, firmness, or texture at depth, microneedling alone may be the better route.
The MicroPeel makes most sense when you have concerns at both levels, when you want more substantial renewal than a single treatment delivers, or when you would rather consolidate into fewer appointments. Tell us your priorities and your tolerance for downtime, and we will recommend accordingly.
What to Expect
The session takes longer than a peel alone, since two treatments are performed:
Consultation and assessment
We examine your skin, review your history and medications, then decide on the peel strength and microneedling depth appropriate for you.
Preparation
Your skin is thoroughly cleansed, and a topical numbing cream is typically applied for comfort during the microneedling portion.
The peel
The chemical solution is applied in controlled layers, monitored closely, and timed precisely for your skin.
Microneedling
The device is passed over the treatment area, creating controlled micro-channels at the planned depth.
Soothing and protection
Calming, hydrating products are applied, followed by protection, and we walk you through your aftercare.

Building a Course
A single MicroPeel produces visible improvement, but collagen builds gradually and pigmentation clears layer by layer, so a series achieves considerably more. We typically recommend a course spaced several weeks apart, giving your skin time to recover and respond between sessions.
Your provider will map out a realistic number based on your concerns and how your skin responds. Concerns like established scarring generally need more sessions than surface tone, and we would rather be honest about that up front.
Why Restorativ Health & Beauty
Combining two active treatments requires more judgment than performing either alone, since peel strength and needling depth have to be balanced so the skin is challenged without being overwhelmed. Restorativ Health & Beauty was founded by a registered nurse and is guided by licensed medical providers, so your treatment is planned and performed in a medically directed setting.
We assess candidacy carefully, because this treatment is not right for everyone. Active or inflamed breakouts, certain medications including oral retinoids, and a history of keloid scarring all affect whether we proceed. We are candid about recovery, we build courses rather than selling single sessions, and we will recommend a single treatment when that serves you better.

Frequently Asked Questions
It is manageable. A topical numbing cream is applied before the microneedling portion, so most people describe the sensation as prickling or vibration rather than pain. You may feel warmth or mild stinging during the peel, which settles quickly.
More than a facial, less than a deep peel. Expect noticeable redness for one to two days, then possible mild flaking over the following days. Most people are presentable within two to three days.
A peel resurfaces the outer layers, while microneedling stimulates collagen deeper down. A MicroPeel does both in one session, producing more comprehensive renewal and saving you a separate appointment. If your concern only sits at one level, a single treatment may be better.
Most concerns respond best to a course spaced several weeks apart. Established scarring generally needs more sessions than surface tone or pigmentation, and your provider will give you a realistic number at your assessment.
Often yes, particularly for congestion and the marks left behind by past breakouts. Active, inflamed breakouts are a different matter, since needling over them can spread bacteria, so we may recommend settling active acne first.
With planning. Allow at least two weeks between your treatment and any important occasion so redness and any flaking have fully resolved.
