Laser and Advanced Skin Treatments in Camp Hill, PA
Services
Laser and advanced skin treatments at Restorativ Health & Beauty are where we address the concerns that surface care cannot reach. Using energy-based and device-driven technology, these treatments work below the surface, targeting pigmentation, redness, scarring, texture, laxity, and unwanted hair at a level facials and peels do not access.
We invested in advanced equipment specifically to offer this range, and every treatment is performed in a medically directed setting. With laser and light-based technology, the setting matters. These are powerful tools requiring proper assessment and trained hands to be both safe and effective.
Treatments That Work Below the Surface
Facials and peels work primarily on the outer layers of your skin, which is effective for tone, texture, congestion, and general skin health. But some concerns originate deeper. Broken capillaries sit within the skin. Pigment can be embedded well below the surface. Collagen loss and scarring involve the structural layers. Hair grows from follicles beneath.
Energy-based treatments reach those depths. Light and laser energy can be targeted at specific structures, whether pigment, blood vessels, or hair follicles, treating them while leaving surrounding tissue largely unaffected. Microneedling and radiofrequency work differently, creating controlled stimulation that prompts your body to build new collagen from within.
That precision is what makes these treatments powerful, and it is also why selection matters. The right device on the right concern produces results nothing else can match. The wrong one produces disappointment at best.
Our Laser and Advanced Treatments
Our range covers the main concerns clients bring to us:
• IPL therapy. Intense pulsed light, used for pigmentation, sun damage, and redness correction, often called a photofacial.
• Laser hair removal. Long-term reduction of unwanted hair across a range of treatment areas.
• Microneedling. Controlled micro-channels that stimulate your own collagen and elastin, effective for texture, scarring, and firmness.
• RF microneedling. Microneedling combined with radiofrequency energy, delivering heat deeper for stronger tightening.
• Laser rejuvenation. Laser facials and resurfacing options for overall skin quality, tone, and texture.
• Pigment and redness correction. Targeted treatment of discoloration, dark spots, and visible vascular concerns.
We also offer laser tattoo removal, which sits under our tattoo services.

Choosing the Right Treatment
Between them, these treatments cover uneven pigmentation and sun damage, dark spots, facial redness and broken capillaries, the appearance of scarring, rough texture, the look of enlarged pores, fine lines, mild laxity, and unwanted hair.
As a rough guide, pigmentation and redness generally respond best to light-based treatment such as IPL, since that energy can be targeted at the pigment or blood vessels causing the problem. Texture, scarring, and collagen loss respond better to microneedling, which stimulates renewal from within. When firmness and tightening are the priority, RF microneedling adds heat at depth. Unwanted hair needs laser specifically, targeting the follicle.
Many clients combine approaches over time. Your consultation is where we work out the right sequence and pacing rather than treating everything at once.
What to Expect
Advanced treatments follow a more involved process than a facial, and for good reason:
Consultation and assessment
We examine your skin, review your medical history, medications, sun exposure, and previous treatments, then determine what is appropriate and safe.
Patch testing where needed
For laser and light-based treatments, we may test a small area first to confirm how your skin responds.
Preparation
You may be asked to avoid sun exposure, pause certain products, and in some cases shave the treatment area beforehand.
Your treatment
Settings are selected for your skin and adjusted throughout, with cooling or numbing used for comfort where appropriate.
Aftercare and follow-up
We provide clear instructions, and for treatments needing a course, we plan the spacing between sessions.

Safety and Skin Tone
This deserves a plain explanation, because it is where laser treatment most often goes wrong elsewhere.
Light-based treatments work by targeting melanin, the pigment in your skin. That works well when the pigment being targeted contrasts with the surrounding skin. In deeper skin tones, however, there is melanin throughout, which means the energy can affect the surrounding skin rather than just the target. The consequences can include burns and pigmentation changes that take months to resolve or become permanent.
For that reason, IPL is generally not appropriate for deeper skin tones. Laser hair removal can be performed safely on darker skin, but it requires specific wavelengths designed for the purpose rather than whatever device happens to be in the room. Microneedling and RF microneedling are considerably safer across the full range of skin tones, since they do not rely on targeting pigment.
We assess your skin type properly and will tell you honestly if a treatment is not safe for you. Turning away a booking is preferable to causing damage that takes a year to fade.
Why Restorativ Health & Beauty
Energy-based devices are only as safe as the judgment behind the settings. Restorativ Health & Beauty was founded by a registered nurse and is guided by licensed medical providers, including a physician assistant who leads our clinical care, so your treatment is assessed and performed with genuine clinical oversight.
We invested in advanced technology deliberately, we assess candidacy and skin type properly, and we build courses rather than selling one-off sessions. Because we also offer facials, peels, and injectables under one roof, we can build a plan across the whole range.

Frequently Asked Questions
Broadly, pigmentation and redness respond to light-based treatment like IPL, texture and scarring to microneedling, firmness to RF microneedling, and unwanted hair to laser. Because skin type affects what is safe, a consultation is the reliable way to decide.
It varies. Microneedling and RF microneedling typically involve topical numbing beforehand. IPL and laser feel like a brief snap or heat sensation, often managed with cooling. Most clients find them tolerable, and we adjust throughout.
More than a facial, and it depends on the treatment. Expect redness lasting hours to a couple of days for most, with microneedling and RF microneedling potentially involving a few days of redness and light flaking.
Most of these treatments work best as a course. Laser hair removal needs a series because hair grows in cycles, and pigmentation and collagen concerns build over multiple sessions.
Not all of them. IPL is generally not appropriate for deeper skin tones because it targets melanin. Laser hair removal can be safe with the correct wavelength, and microneedling and RF microneedling are safer across the full range. We assess your skin type and will tell you honestly what is safe.
Yes, for laser and light-based treatments especially. Recent tanning or sun exposure significantly increases the risk of burns and pigmentation problems, so we will ask you to avoid sun exposure before and after your appointment.
